This is probably not the first time a Presidential Campaign connected into the social media world. However, it is the first time it came to me so directly. In case you missed it, the McCain Campaign threw out a question on LinkedIn today. The essence of the question focused on what innovation our government needs to be investing in. Whether this was a legitimate information gathering question or a clever campaign maneuver, it certainly demonstrates that social media tools are becoming more of a mainstream communication mechanism. Businesses, politicians, and entrepreneurs are all using social media to connect into the market to look for ideas, contacts, revenue opportunities and more. This is a movement that is only going to get bigger. Get on board early.
If you are not sure what social media tools you may be able to incorporate into your business growth strategy; or, you are not even sure what social media really is–join the World Webinar Network (it’s free) and ask for help (‘start a discussion’). It is as good a place to begin as any. There are also many training opportunities, as well.
Congratulations
