The ultimate in office space convenience.  How many times do we find ourselves sitting at our desk wishing we were outside, working out or, at least, have the ability to be a little more active?  We drive to work, spend long days in meetings and are in a mostly sedentary state at the office.  Finding and making time to workout at a health club requires a great deal of discipline and time management–especially with a house full of active children and their activities.  While there is no substitute for a good workout, at least now there is something we can do to keep moving while at the office.  Here is a great way to be active, even when we are “at our desks.”  This product is manufactured by Steelcase and is available as part of their Details product line.

While this is a huge departure from the content featured in most of my blogs, I couldn’t resist pointing out this clever product.  It is so obvious, so practical in many ways, and such a great solution.  This product demonstrates what happens when you do not put limits on thought.

The sales lesson found in this product is quite simple.  This product demonstrates what happens when you do not put limits on finding a solution for a customer.  A treadmill and a desk for people to use at work, seems impractical.  And, in many ways it is.  However, when you think about it, it is also a perfect solution.

True sales strategies need to be approached that way.  Allow all ideas and suggestions to come to the strategic thought process.  Now more than ever, people are looking for solutions that can help them with their issues.  This does not mean that you need to invent something new every time you are challenged with solving a problem for your customers.  Rather, it means that we should learn to be more innovative and creative in how we solve problems for them.  Allow the crazy, the impractical, the unique, and the creative ideas to become part of your strategic process.  That is where the competitive and responsive edge is found.

In this economy, solutions that add value will give your business the edge.  Take advantage of the defensive oriented negativity in the market and use your positive and clever energy to really solve some problems for your clients.  That is where the money is.
